Heartland Community College
(Campus in Pontiac and Normal)
Heartland Community College was established in 1990.  It has a current enrollment of over 10,000 credit students and 20,000 non-credit students.  HCC offers associate and transfer degrees.  Students can qualify for certification in 58 different areas.  

Illinois State University
(Campus in Normal - 35 Miles)
Founded in 1857, ISU was the first public university in Illinois.  Current enrollment is around 20,000.   There are 6 colleges, 1,400 faculty and staff members, and 35 academic departments with more than 160 fields of study.  

Illinois Wesleyan University

(Campus in Bloomington - 37 Miles)
A private university founded in 1850.  IWU has an enrollment of 2,000 and is recognized as one of the nation's premiere private residential liberal arts universities. 
        There are 39 majors and three pre-professional programs with 184 faculty members.
  Lincoln College
(Main campus in Normal - 35 Miles)
Lincoln College offers academic and vocational programs.
        Accredited by the North Central Association. Lincoln offers both associate and bachelor's degrees.
