Accessory Structure Application

  4. ** Ordinance 2014-O-013: No metal buildings over 200 sq. ft. in residential district
  5. If this is located in the flood plain, one of the following shall occur:
    * If #1 or #2 is selected, an elevation shot will be required prior to construction and an elevation certificate. WILL BE REQUIRED UPON COMPLETION, SHOWING "AS BUILT" ELEVATIONS, PER CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS
  6. LOCATION:
    Accessory structures shall not be closer than three feet (pools 10 ft) to the side lot line, nor closer than three feet to the rear lot line. If any portion of the accessory structure is located in the principal building area, the setbacks must meet the required dimensions for the zoning district.
  7. SIZE:
    No accessory structure shall exceed the square footage of the principal building, nor exceed 850 sq. ft.
  8. LOT COVERAGE:
    No accessory building or structures shall occupy more than 30% of the required rear yard or other lot coverage formulas.
  9. HEIGHT:
    No accessory structure or portion thereof shall exceed the height as specified in the zoning code.

IN CASE THE PERMIT ABOVE APPLIED FOR IS GRANTED, ___I___ DO HEREBY, IN CONSIDERATION THEREOF, GUARANTEE TO SAID CITY OF PONTIAC THE COMPLETEMENT FULFILLMENT OF THE ABOVE AGREEMENT ON THE PART OF SAID ___(OWNER/CONTRACTOR)____.
  11. ** Please note that a fee will be required. You may call with a Credit Card Number, send a check/cash, or stop into City Hall to pay for your fee. A permit will not be sent payment has been received.

    Foundation Inspection (Prior to backfilling the outside perimeter)
  14. Framing-
    Electric Inspection (Prior to concealing framing and any installed electric with drywall, etc)
  15. PLUMBING-
    (Prior to covering or concealment)
  16. FINAL INSPECTION-
    (After construction is completed, PRIOR to occupancy)
  17. OTHER INSPECTIONS-
    (As necessary for code compliance)
  18. I UNDERSTAND THAT AS THE PERMIT HOLDER, I OR MY AGENT, WILL BE REQUIRED TO NOTIFY BUILDING AND ZONING OFFICE ON EACH OF THE ABOVE INSPECTIONS
