How often are the sewer / garbage bills mailed out?
Sewer bills are mailed monthly.

When are the sewer / garbage bills due?
21 days after the mail date.

Where can I pay my sewer/garbage bill?
You may pay by mailing payment to city hall. Or you may pay at city hall by check, MasterCard, Visa, or cash. For after-hours payments, there is a drop slot located by the entrance door. Payments may also be made at any of the local banks, or you may set up direct debit from your checking or savings account - call (815) 844-5740 for information.

I have misplaced my bill. How can I pay my balance?
You may contact city hall for the account balance. You may pay by mailing payment to city hall. Or you may pay at city hall by check, MasterCard, Visa, or cash. For after-hours payments, there is a drop slot located by the entrance door. Payments may also be made at any of the local banks, or you may set up direct debit from your checking or savings account - call (815) 844-5740 for information. Office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Why hasn't my last payment been taken off my bill?
If your payment was made on or around the date new bills are being processed, the payment would have been posted after the bill was mailed. If payment was made at one of the local banking facilities, please allow two to three days for posting. You may contact the billing department for verification of payment.

I am moving to Pontiac in the near future, what do I need to do to start sewer/garbage service?
You may contact the Sewer Billing Department by USPS Mail, Email, or by calling (815) 844-5740. You will provide the address where service is needed, the date you will need service to begin, and your full name.
