Outreach Programs

The Pontiac Public Library works to accommodate all readers. Those who have special needs or limited mobility may opt for one or both of these services.

Talking Books for the Blind and Physically Handicapped

The Talking Book Program was established in 1931 by an act of Congress to provide free and accessible library services to those who cannot read standard print because of visual, physical, or reading disability. This service is provided to citizens living anywhere in the United States or abroad.
