Smoke House

The Smoke house was originally built by the Pontiac Fire Department firefighters and funded by various agencies throughout Livingston County. The intent of the firehouse is to educate school-age children in how to evacuate their homes it catches on fire. In 2014, the original Safety House was retired and a new one was built. The new version is still used to educate children and now designed to do adult fire safety education.

The prop is utilized throughout Livingston County and is available upon request. Please contact the Pontiac Fire Department by calling (815) 842-3225 or your local Fire Department to schedule the Safety House.
