8th Annual Red Carpet Corridor Festival

Each year the 13 communities along a 90-mile stretch of old Route 66 collectively celebrate the history of the Mother Road.  Each town puts together its own events and specials.  Gather the family, hop in the family car, and take a trip down memory lane.  For more information, visit the Red Carpet Corridor Webpage

Threshermen's Reunion

Step back in time at the Central States Thresherman’s Reunion, held annually over Labor Day weekend. Come see and experience traditional events including rock crushing, threshing, sheep shearing, tractor pulls, and a variety of country music shows. Daily attractions include the General Store, 1900 Country School House, Singer Saw Mill, 1910 Era Blacksmith Shop, 1920 Conoco Gas Station, Craft Show, and Flea Market.

20th Annual Threshermen's Bluegrass Festival

A weekend full of great music and good people. 
Come join us!  Held at Threshermen's Park, north of Pontiac on Illinois Route 23.

filled with decorated and lighted floats.




The City of Pontiac is host to car clubs and group tours nearly every weekend of the Spring, Summer, and Fall. The Pontiac Tourism office would be happy to help you organize a visit for your group. We can assist you with parking, guided tours, trolley rides, restaurant reservations, and hotel or B & B accommodations for overnight stays. For groups with over 30 people and who are staying overnight in Pontiac, the tourism office will arrange free, live entertainment in the evening. Contact us for more information.
