Red Carpet Corridor
Unique Travel Experience in the Corridor
Pontiac is a proud partner in the Red Carpet Corridor. The corridor is a 90-mile linear museum that runs along historic Route 66 from Joliet to Towanda. Each of the 13 communities along this stretch of the Mother Road offers the heritage traveler a unique Route 66 travel experience.
Each year the towns which make up the Red Carpet Corridor join together in a weekend festival celebrating the history of Route 66. The Red Carpet Corridor Festival is held the first full weekend in May. Each town puts together its own events and visitors are encouraged to take in all the sites and fun during the weekend.
